When does the next beginner class start?
Our next beginner class date and times will be posted here. You can also call 559-868-3319 for additional information on when that will be.
Do I need a partner?
No. Singles are welcome, and dancers rotate so everyone can participate.
What music do you dance to?
Modern square dancing uses many styles—from classics to pop—anything with a clear beat.
What should I wear?
Comfortable casual clothing and clean, comfortable shoes. Traditional dance attire is optional.
Is it good exercise?
Yes. It combines low-impact movement with memory, listening, and teamwork.
How much do you charge for a dance?
Line dancing is $5.00 per weekly dance and Square Dancing is $8.00 per weekly dance.
Can I just come to line dancing?
Yes, you can choose to only line dance.
Can I just come to Square Dancing?
Yes, you can choose to only square dance.
Can I do both Line and Square Dancing?
Yes, you can choose to line dance and then stay to square dance too!

Line dance instructor
Justin Caudel
He brings enthusiasm, musicality, and an encouraging teaching style to the Gold Dust Dancers. He guides dancers through each sequence at a comfortable pace, helping beginners build confidence while keeping returning dancers engaged and having fun. Justin also has ties to Oakhurst’s local music community, adding an extra creative spark to every dance session.
Square dance caller
Jan Pearson
She has been leading club dances and welcoming new dancers since at least 2019. Jan calls for beginner, Mainstream, and Plus dancers, helping newcomers learn in a friendly, relaxed environment while keeping experienced dancers moving. Her weekly sessions bring together music, exercise, friendship, and plenty of fun.
